I love spending time with mommy!

Mom has been home for 3 weeks now and we are having a lot of fun together. Monday through Thursday we go swimming in the morning, which apparently is starting to tire mom out because she is getting out of the pool a little slower each time. I only weigh 30 lbs + 30 lbs. she has gained. Come on mom buck up!

Once we get back home we play outside or as you can see below, I help myself to whatever goodies are in the pantry if I catch the door open. Most times I just play with the Tupperware, but it seems my PB&J sandwich for lunch wasn’t enough so I was on the hunt for more. I can also open wrappers now, which is both good and bad. I’m getting better at saying please, it sounds more like “pease,” and it works like a charm. Anytime I say it mom gets me what I want because she thinks it is so cute.

I still love balloons and mom says I have developed quite the baseball swing. I taught myself and I even show mom and dad how to hold the bat. Then we hit the ball back and forth on the ground. Another thing I enjoy doing now is hiding in the curtains. No, not behind the curtain, but in the curtains. I wrap myself around them and then yell for mom and dad to come get me. [Note: In the first picture you can see my new buzz cut mom and dad gave me. Mom wanted to take me to the barber, but dad say no.

Hoppin House

Last Saturday I went to Rylee and Pace Berry's birthday party at the Hoppin House. It is where they have these huge inflatable houses, slides, and obstacles for kids and adults to play in. Because mom couldn't jump with me (she didn’t want the baby to bounce out), dad did the entire time. We had a blast together!

At first I wasn’t sure what these big blow-up obstacles were, but once I got the hang of jumping on them, I was sliding, diving and jumping everywhere. Dad finally convinced me to go down the slide after he went and boy was it fun. After seeing Rylee go down headfirst I decided I would try too. Dad was not sure, but mom said to let me go for it and it was FUN!

Afterwards I was so thirsty that I kept asking for more juice and more juice. I didn't even eat my lunch. Eventually, I was just pouring the juice on my face trying to get the juice in as fast as I could. As you can see from above, my cheeks were quite rosie.

My 1st Trip to the Dentist

I went to the dentist! They just counted my teeth and then put floride on them. The dentist said my teeth look great and he would like to see me back in 6 months.

Afterwards mom took me to the store to get a balloon. I was quite happy walking around the store with my new balloon. I also got to see nana!

Easter

I had a great weekend. Saturday morning we drove to my gamma's house in Redmond (Seattle) and I had brunch with the Easter bunny. Mom was pretty surprised when it came time for me to sit on the Easter bunny's lap because I didn't get upset. During Christmas, I wanted nothing to do with Santa Claus, but I've gotten much more brave since then.

After the brunch we went outside for an Easter egg hunt that lasted, no joke, 30 seconds. It was poorly planned, but mom and dad didn’t mind because I didn’t have a clue what was going on. Though they did feel bad for the older kids who were sad they didn’t get any eggs. I hope they got a basket full of treats like me. In fact I got 4 Easter baskets. WOW! I am a lucky boy. Let’s see, Aunt Chris, Gamma, Nana and Mom and Dad all got me an Easter basket.

The brunch was fun for another reason too; I got to spend time with my cousin Ava. I kept saving, “Ava Ava” when I couldn’t see where she went. We had fun together. Then, I got to go swimming not once, but twice and yippee it was a lot of fun.

Saturday night gamma put me to bed and I went night. night until 7:30 the next morning. She made me a nice comfy bed to sleep in. Thanks Gamma! She also made a great Easter day brunch, but I was napping so I didn’t taste the food. Mom and dad did though and they said it was scrumptious like always.

Well in two days I will be 25 months old and my vocabulary has really taken off. I can repeat just about whatever you say if asked. Most of the time mo and dad are the only ones who an understand me, but if you are around me long enough you figure out my lingo. I also say a lot of sentences, like “ Where my blanket go momma, daddy?” It is really cute because I put the palm of my hands p when I ask. I have also gotten quite demanding like when I say, “come on momma, momma sit, no daddy, daddy up,” etc. When I do something naughty I am getting better at saying “sorry.”

Above I am pictured with my great great grandmother, Gammy! I thought she looked beautiful on Easter.

My New Sandbox

Lately the weather has been really nice, in the 70s so we have been playing outside a lot. At first I would just roam around and throw my nerf basketball, but since my birthday I got some cool new toys, like a bubble blower. I play with that a ton and then I get my shovels and sit in mom's herb boxes digging up dirt. I managed to take all the dirt from one side and shovel it over to the other side of the box that is when I wasn't throwing it out of the box. Mom doesn't like that too much so I usually only get one or two throws in before she stops me. Then, I roam over to her other empty pot and with my shovel take all the dirt out of that. So...to make a long story short, mom decided I needed a sandbox. Today while I was napping mom and dad made a sandbox from scratch. It took them 3 1/2 hours and I was asleep the whole time. In fact, mom had to come wake me up after a while because she was so excited for me to play with it. I got right in and started shoveling sand. I can talk a lot now and have become quite demanding or maybe I am learning to share because I took my extra shovel, handed it to mom/ dad and said, "mom shovel, mom sit." I especially liked it when mom and dad would cover up my toes with sand. Thanks mom and dad you guys are really thoughtful. Can I have a playground next?

Painting at Home

Teacher Cheryl told mom that I LOVE to paint, especially with textures and since I am at home with mom now she bought a bunch of art supplies so we can paint together. Today we used coffee grounds with finger paints and it was fun.

Afterwards I was hungry so I ate a banana.
