Snow Day

Guess what? Mom and dad didn't have to go to school today so we got to spend all day together. I think it was due to the fact that it is painted white outside. Mom says it is called snow. Whatever, as long as my parents get to be with me for the day. After a while I got to go outside and walk around in the snow. It sure is bright outside.

Decorating my Christmas Tree

This weekend I got to do something I have never done before…decorate our family's Christmas tree. It was so much fun. Mom was holding me and then dad would give me an ornament. With both fingers I would hold onto the string and hang it on the tree. Well, at first mom was doing it because she assumed I wouldn't be able to. But then she put me down to get more ornaments and dad gave me one to hang. I hung it on the tree and it stayed! Mom was very impressed. I kept saying and signing "more." I got to hang almost all the ornaments. However, my favorite ornaments are the glass hearts Gamma gave mom last year. Well, mom didn't know they were glass until I dropped one and wouldn't you know it those were the ones I kept taking off the tree to hang again. Now they are all at the top so I stand there and point to them. When they aren't looking I get on the bench in the dining room, walk behind the tree and grab them from behind the tree. Hee Hee! I think I am going to like this Christmas thing.

Uncle Jason and Aunt Jill Came to See Me!

It was a short visit, but I got to spend some time with my uncle and aunt from Spokane. They are very sweet and loving. Aunt Jill loves to give me kisses and I warmed right up to Uncle Jason. I gave him hugs and kisses too. They brought me a lot of gifts...a new book and The Cars DVD. Wow, thank you very much! I love you guys.

Thanksgiving 2006

I had a great time at my gamma's house. I think I wore mom and dad out though exploring everything new in gamma's house. The best part was I got to make my first gingerbread house. It was so much fun and the candy tasted good too!

Later on in the day I said, "apple" for the first time. I can also say, "Ava" and "Wyatt." I'm really starting to pick things up faster.

I'd like to say the food was good, but I didn't have any. I'm still a pretty picky eater. Mom tried to feed me about 3-4 times, but I would rather run around.

20 months old

Hello everyone! I thought I would share a few things about myself with you. 1. I still drool. I don't know why, it just happens. Yesterday mom thought she saw that my last molar had broke through. I don't know, maybe that is the cause of all my drooling. Mom always has to go to my school to get my bibs back. Teacher Aimee says we practically stock the daycare.

I love apples! The only problem is I take bite after bite and then eventually when I get too much in my mouth I either choke, gag or spit it out. Any suggestions? River doesn't mind any though.

I also started to say, "poop." I know, it is not really appropiate, but I do it after I actually go so that mommy knows to get this diaper off of me. Smart huh? I also like to sit on my potty in the bathroom, but I have yet to go. Stay tuned!

Everytime mom or dad put my socks or shoes on I say. "socks" or "shoes." Daddy has also taught me some fun games. We pretend like we are holding crackers in our hands and then with the other hand we grab one and eat it. Then dad asks if I want a drink and I say, "yes." He takes the make believe drink and puts it up to my mouth and I make the "gulp gulp" sound. Ah he is funny and FUN!

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Here is a little flashback to Thanksgiving 2005...

"CASEYYYY"

Earlier in the week, before bedtime, I was walking around the living room and decided I would surprise mom and dad by saying mommy's name...."Casey." Mom and dad were quite surprised, but to make sure they understood me correctly, dad said Rogan, "Who is Casey?" I immediately pointed to mommy, duh dad how long have you two been together? They were all smiles and I was more than pleased to continue to say it.

The next morning when mommy got me out of my crib she asked if I could say Casey again. I think she was testing me to see if I would remember and I DID! I say Casey a lot now.

I also sign the word for "more" to tell mom or dad that I am hungry and when I want more milk. At daycare my teacher told mommy that I get the biggest cup when she gives out milk and then I always ask for more. It's good stuff! Another word I started to say is "night night." Every night when mom and dad put me to bed I give them both kisses, back and forth as many times as they will take my slobbery lips. Then I say bye bye to daddy and as mommy is turning off the light I say "night night."

Raggedy Andy

Wow, did you know that if you put on a costume and go up to someone's door with a bag you get candy? I never knew such a thing was possible. This year I dressed up as Raggedy Andy and my best friend Rylee was Raggedy Ann. She was a cutie and I let her know it at the end of the night by laying a big wet one on her. Her dad wasn't too pleased, but I started clapping with glee.

Mom and Nana took me back to our local mall this year to go through the haunted house. Okay, well it isn't really haunted, but it sure is fun. Most of the time mom or nana carried me, but eventually I started to carry my own bag and would go up to the scary looking people. That is except for when grown-ups dressed up as lions started crawling towards me. I couldn't jump into nana's arms fast enough. But then I heard this music playing from around the corner so I started to get jiggy with it in nana's arms. When we turned the corner there was a band playing with neon lights all around them in the dark. Rylee and I started dancing our tiny bum bums off. Everyone else was sitting down, but not us. We love to dance. I was sure to hold onto nana's hand the entire time though. It made me feel safe.

Then, when I got home, dad, mom, Megan, Jesse, Rylee and I all went trick or treating around our block. I did great! Dad would take me up to the door and I would reach out for a piece of candy and put it in my bucket. What a great Halloween!
