Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch. All I could talk about before we went were the animals. Mom and dad think it might be time to go back to the zoo because I kept asking where the elephants were.
I had a great time even if I didn't see elephants. I got to go on a tractor ride (wagon ride) and I saw pigs and fed some goats. I also saw a donkey. Yippee!

Getting sooo big!

Yippee! I met a fire fighter and he gave me his hat. It is fire awareness week in our town so the fire fighters came to my school, I think. You see I came home from school with a hat and coloring book so mom thought maybe they visited me. She keeps forgetting to ask Teacher Cindy. Oh and Teacher Cindy said my vocabulary and communication skills are above average.

Finally the rain went away and out came the sun. So off mom, Slye and I went to the park for some fun. I got right on the swing, the wrong way of course and showed mom how I can swing.

But then this girl came up to me and informed me that was her swing. Huh, could have sworn she wasn't here when I got here, but ladies first I guess.

Besides, swinging around the pole is fun too.

She's gone!
I showed mom that I acan swing forward on the big boy swing. I kept saying, "higher."

Ballet Class--yah that's right.

This week it was bring a friend to ballet class. So my friend Rylee invited me to her ballet class.

It was sooooo much. When we first got there we got the balls out of the container and started throwing them everywhere. A few minutes later the teacher walked by and said, “oh I better get in there.” We didn’t mind her absence.

Then it was time to get disciplined, well maybe not. Rylee and I did well most of the time, but who can resist staring at yourself in those big mirrors, crawling on the bench, playing with the stereo, jumping over imaginary pencils, chasing each other, etc. I mean who wouldn’t do these things when put in a big room with mirrors from floor to ceiling. Needless to say it was a blast.

At one point teacher lined us up and had us practice jumping over a pencil. Oh boy did that look like fun. I didn’t quite get the whole wait my turn and stand in line so I stood off to the side and kept saying, “my turn.” Well, soon it was my turn and I took off.

But because it was so much fun I jumped around afterwards so I got a special spot by the teacher. Lucky me. I’m the only kid who got to sit on teacher’s lap. I must be special. If you look to the right of the picture you will see Rylee playing with the toys around the stereo. She chose not to jump over the pencil for fear that she might lose her seat. She got up at one point and another ballerina slipped in her spot. She wasn’t about to make that mistake again.

Here we are practicing gliding across the floor.

And, I’m not quite sure what the point of this activity was so I decided to stand up and watch all the pretty girls do it.

The best part, moms and dads wait outside and watch through a window. Mom decided she wanted to take pictures so she snapped them through a hole in the door.

After class, aunt Megan and mom took Rylee and me out to dinner. We had such a great night.

Pink Eye

I was only in daycare for 3 days before I got sick with a cold. Yippee! After almost a week of being sick I woke up with pink eye. Yippee again! I have been home with mom for a week and it has been raining outside so we have been stuck inside for a long time. Needless to say I have been doing a lot of lying on the couch. Mom even bought me the DVD The Jungle Book. I will sit through most of it.
Yesterday it was nice enough to go to the park, but I took my gloves off before we left and then my hands got really cold so I wanted to go home. I sure hope it gets nicer outside and my eye gets better so I can be around kids again. When I am feeling better I like to get in Skye's car seat.

Go Dawgs!

Mom and dad went to a Huskie game Saturday and brought me back a souvenir. I love the huskies. For the longest time when I would ride in dad's car I would ask to hear the huskie's fight song. I have been going around the house yelling, "Go Dawgs!"

Lately I have been on a play doh kick. Whenever I want to play with it I say, "Mom come here. I want to show you something." Then I point to the play doh. Mom taught me how to use this one tool to make an octopus. When I made one that was really small mom called it a baby. So, it dawned on me that babies need sleep so I put the baby octopus to sleep. We made it a bed with a pillow and then I put a blanket on it, turned off the lights and sang it "Hush Little Baby." Then I decided that I wanted to be the baby so I put the blanket on me and went to sleep. Mom sang me "Hush Little Baby" just like she does when she puts me to bed. At bedtime I ask her to rub my back when she sings to me and then I mimick her by rubbing my side.
Daydreaming...
