Just Being a Boy

I am certainly a boy...I like to build tall towers and then with a flag or anything resembling a bat, I like to knock it down and rebuild it. I still enjoy turning the wheels on anything and I like to learn how things work. Below I put mom's head band on and when Gamma came for the birth of Skye she brought me a puzzle. I like to pretend the pieces are icecream.
Today dad and I started swim classes again. I love swim class because I know all the songs and I get to jump off the side of the pool. Dad mentioned something about me going all the way under. We will see.

Grandpa Scott came down yesterday and he put me to bed with daddy. We read a bunch of books and then we sang songs together. He also threw the football with me at the park and best of all, he brought me a John Deere tractor. I love to turn the wheels on it.

Nana and Dan took me to see the minitiare horse Dan bought. It is so cute. I love horses and barns and cows.

Father's Day

I tried to make Father's Day special for daddy so I made him some cookies with M&Ms in them. He loves M&Ms. We didn't do anything too exciting because my little sister is pretty young, but I have been a good boy helping mom and dad take care of her. Below I am holding sister (okay maybe mom was holding her, but made it seem like I was). I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to give her kisses.
I am really putting sentences together now. And at night when mom and dad read to me they point to the word, say it and then I say it. It is like I am reading the book. Yesterday mom and nana discovered a new word I have added to my vocabulary...Why? Mom isn't sure where I learned it, but boy do I enjoy asking Why? now to anything and everything. Hee Hee. Below I gave daddy his gift and a big kiss.

I still love music and enjoy making anything into a bat so that I can hit balls. Oh and I saved the best news for last, tomorrow is officially dad's last day of work. Then we get him all to ourselves. Yeah!!!!!!!!

I'm a big brother now!

My sister Skye is here! She was born 4 days ago on June 12^th and I love her a lot. I am so sweet to her. I give her kisses all the time.

Before she was born I spent the day with nana and gamma. We played a lot, would visit mom in the hospital and we even went out to lunch! I enjoyed visiting mommy in the hospital. I sat on the bed with her and gamma brought a puzzle for me to play with. I soon realized the stool in mommy’s room had wheels though so I pushed that around a lot.

Since Skye wasn't born until after my bedtime I got to see her the next morning. I didn't even notice her. I sat in bed with mom and saw this cool looking cup with water in it and started drinking it. Mom asked if I wanted to meet my sister and pointed to a clear bassinet next to me. She was sitting in the bassinet the whole time. I said, "baby" and stood up to touch her. I was very gentle. Then, I went back to drinking mom's water and even discovered that if you pull the straw out and blow into it it whistles. So, that entertained me for quite some time.

We are all home now and life is pretty good. Skye brought me some presents. I enjoy the musical toys and the little badminton set she got me.

Where's Rogan?

After I get out of the shower, yes, I like to take showers; I get to snuggle in mommy and daddy's bed. I put the covers over my head and dad and I lie under the “tent.” Then mom pretends like she is a dinosaur and stomps around the room. I get a kick out of it.

Today I used the blanket downstairs, my favorite to snuggle with besides my blue blanket, as a tent and mom snapped some shots of me.

Making Music

I love music! I like the piano, drum, anything I can clap together to make noise like whisks or the toy below. I also like using a stick as a fake microphone. I still enjoy dancing and getting my groove on when I hear music. Grandpa Daniels brought me this new toy that you sit and spin on and it plays music. I like to push the button to hear the music and then dance.

Smile Big

Yesterday mom captured me being silly. I LOVE to run around the house and be chased. I giggle non stop and get really goofy. I will often go up to mom and dad and say, "run?"

As you can see I love wearing hats these days. I put it on myself, backwards!
